How I Approach Weight Loss

If weight loss is your number one goal, I’m probably not the right provider for you. In my nutrition practice, I don't offer weight loss counseling for a few important reasons:


1. Health Matters More Than Weight: Instead of obsessing over the number on the scale, I believe in focusing on overall health and happiness. We're going to figure out what's driving your most annoying symptoms and fix THAT so you can feel good in your body instead of judging it.

2. Everyone's Body is Different: We come in all shapes and sizes, and that's something to celebrate! I'm all about accepting and respecting our bodies just as they are, without judgment or pressure to change.

3. Diets Can Do More Harm Than Good: Trying to lose weight through strict diets often backfires and can mess with our relationship with food and our bodies and that backfires. It's not worth the stress and frustration.

4. Listen to Your Body: I'm a big believer in intuitive eating, which means tuning in to what your body is telling you about hunger, fullness, and what foods make you feel good. It's about trusting yourself and finding balance without strict rules so you can find a sustainable routine you love.

5. Focus on Healthy Habits: Instead of chasing a certain number on the scale, I help my clients focus on building healthy habits that stick. Things like eating nourishing foods, moving in ways that feel good, managing stress, and getting enough sleep—all of which contribute to a happier, healthier life.


In my practice, it's not about fitting into a certain size or achieving a specific weight. It's about helping you feel your best, inside and out, on your own terms. No judgement here if you want your body to be smaller- it's your body and you get to decide! Together, you and I will talk about your goals and find the right way to measure your progress that doesn't include weight tracking.
